This section contains locally defined supplemental information, also known as Custom Data. These items may be used to collect data not captured by baseline Kuali Research. Attributes are displayed in tabs and sections within as specified when the custom attributes are created.
In the event your institution requires additional attributes for reporting purposes, these custom fields can be added to allow text entry, supply a date, a number, lookup from reference tables, or selection from a custom list. Your Kuali Research Application Administrator can make the field required or optional. More information on creating Custom Attributes can be found in the Cross Module Functionality - Custom Data Fields article.
Along the top tabs will be the added sections of Custom Data and within each are the specific fields set up by the institution. These could be text/numeric entries, dates, or lookups and the user can simply click in the field to enter or select a response. Those fields that are required are marked with an asterisk*.
