Proposal - Proposal Create Notification

Background

Released in version 1704.0028 of Kuali Research the new Notification of 'Proposal Development record has been created' was added to the available options in the Notifications maintenance table.  This will give institutions the option to send out an automatic notification to the OSP Administrator when a new proposal development record is first created in the system.  

New Proposal Create Notification

When enabled this notification would send to the OSP Administrator (or other specified users) upon the initiator clicking the 'Save and Continue' button in the Create Proposal screen.  The detailed default settings for this notification are below and can be configured to meet the needs of the institution.  Please note, this notification is default as Active 'N' for out of the box functionality.

Prompt User: Checkbox - Options Yes or No - default to No (not checked)
– Yes - will prompt the user to send notification after the action triggering the notification is completed
– No - will automatically send notification after the action triggering the notification is completed
Active: Checkbox - Options Yes or No - default to No (not checked)
– Yes - notification is active and will be triggered based on the Prompt User selection
– No - notification is NOT active and will NOT be triggered
Notification Recipients: Role: KC-PD:All Unit Administrator; Sub Role: OSP_Administrator
(Users should be able to add/delete recipients as needed. The recipients selection should be tied to Role drop-down and appropriate Sub Role field. (just like the the other notifications are.)
