Overview
When workflow is associated with a document then email notifications can be enabled to notify users that an action is required. More information on setting up the configurations to enable workflow emails and be found in the System Admin - Email Settings and Parameters article. Also, workflow preferences information can be found in Cross Module - Workflow Preferences.
The workflow email Subject and Content has relevant information to identify the document that needs a workflow action of either Approve, FYI, Acknowledge, or Complete. Below outlines the content of both the Proposal workflow emails and all other module workflow emails.
Proposal Notifications
Below is an example email notification from a proposal development document for an approval action. The Subject line of the email will have the following information mapped:
- Module
- Approval Type (Approve, Acknowledge, FYI, Complete)
- PI
- Due Date
- Lead Unit
- Sponsor
- Proposal Title
Other Module Notifications
Below is an example email notification from all other modules other than Proposal Development for an approval action. The Subject line of the email will have the following information mapped:
- Module
- Approval Type (Approve, Acknowledge, FYI, Complete)
- Document Title (from the Document Description)
