Overview
If you are a hosted customer with Kuali Research then system reports are available on the Reports tab to users with the appropriate permissions. When in the Sponsored Projects Dashboard the permission required to enable the Report tab option for a user is 'Run Global Reports' which is a part of the 'Run Global Reports' and 'KC SuperuserOSP' roles by default - but be aware this will give access to all reports within the Reports tab. These reports are only available to hosted customers currently and not to on-premise implementations.
To enable the Reports menu option within just the Protocols module there are the below Protocols specific roles within Kuali Groups /groups that give Report access to users (more information on User/Group configuration can be found in the Compliance - User/Group Management article). And information on managing Protocol specific permissions can be found in the Managing Protocol Permissions article.
- IRB Admin - Protocol reports for IRB protocols with lead unit in their unit and below.
- IACUC Admin - Protocol reports for IACUC protocols with lead unit in their unit and below.
- IRB Viewer - Protocol reports but limited IRB and to the unit(s) they are members of and those units below.
- IACUC Viewer - Protocol reports but limited IACUC and to the unit(s) they are members of and those units below.
- IRB Report Viewer - Protocols reports limited to IRB and the unit(s) they are members of and those units below.
- IACUC Report Viewer - Protocols reports limited to IACUC and the unit(s) they are members of and those units below.
Please note, adding a user to one of the above roles in /groups will take a day to sync with the nightly report job due to unit provisioning available in compliance reports. So adding a user to one of these roles will not immediately give them access to the Reports - they will need to wait until the next day to have access.
This table outlines the pre-configured reports that are available in the Reports tab within the Research folder. These reports are only available to hosted customers currently and not to on-premise implementations.
Please note that users with the Report Designer designation must be added to one of the above Protocol roles with report privileges in order to have access to the Protocols data cubes. More information on using the reporting tool can be found in the Reports section of the Knowledge Base in our support portal. Reports in PRD environment will point to PRD data and reports in STG/SBX environments will point to SBX data.
