Protocol Status Label Changes

Overview

Soon we will be making an update to the Protocol Statuses to streamline labels and make it easier to manage.  We currently have the following protocol status labels related to in progress versions:

• Amendment In Progress
• Renewal In Progress
• Renewal/Amendment In Progress
• Close Request In Progress

Since the protocol type already designates the type (i.e. Amendment, Renewal, etc.) we will be removing the descriptor for each of these statuses and just have one status of 'In Progress'.  This affects the label in the Status column of the protocol list and filters using this label:

This also affects the version dropdown description within the protocol:

This updated status will display on all new and existing protocol records of Kuali Research.

Please be aware - that filters that utilized these Status fields will be updated to 'In Progress' so it could change the intent of your filters.  Be sure to double check any saved filters to ensure they still capture the same intent. To help with filtering going forward we will also be adding a multiple selector of 'is among' within Filter Rules so you can now have multiple options in the same filter to aid in searching records.
