Overview
When a disclosure is submitted to a compliance office it's critical that reviews can easily track changes to the prior approved or submitted disclosure. The Kuali COI system allows a reviewer to compare a protocol version to any other version in the protocols history to facilitate multiple types of revision review.
Compare Mode
While reviewing a disclosure as a COI Administrator or COI Viewer you can click the Compare Mode toggle at the top lefthand corner. When you enable this option a new Compare dropdown will display where you can indicate which version of the disclosure you'd like to compare to. It will default to 'Last Approved Disclosure', however, if you've already started the review cycle for this disclosure submission and sent it back previously via the 'Send Back to Revise' option will also have the option to compare it to the 'Last Sent Back Disclosure' once it's resubmitted for review.
Tracking Changes
Once you've turned on Compare Versions and selected the compare version you will see changes highlighted throughout the disclosure. Data that's new in your current submission will be highlighted in green, and data that's in the submission you are comparing to but not in your current version will be struck out and highlighted in red. While comparison is turned on you will be able to access attachments from either of the two versions you are comparing.
Note: If you have dialog lists on your forms you will need to open each dialog list to see if there are changes to fields that don't display in the table by default. Also, any static gadgets that display read only text (i.e. project information, etc) will not show changes.
