Overview
Award Negotiators often need to set deadlines, or followup dates for action on Negotiation Activities. The Kuali Negotiation system provides a mechanism to enter followup dates on a Negotiation activity and return a search query listing all Negotiations with followup items.
Enter a Follow-up Date in an Activity
When you are entering an Activity in a Negotiation document enter the date in the Follow-up Date field when additional action will be required.
After you've entered your Follow-up Date scroll to the bottom of the screen and press the save button.
Check Your Followups
Navigate to Central Admin > Pre Award > All My Negotiations
The system will automatically search for and display all of the Negotiations assigned to the user who is currently signed in.
Scroll to the bottom of the search criteria and enter the date range you would like to check followups for in the Follow-Up Date From and Follow-Up Date To fields.
If you only put a date in the Follow-Up Date From field it will return all Follow-Ups on that date or after. If you only put a date in the Follow-Up Date To field it will display all Follow-Ups on that date or before.
Once you've entered your Follow-Up date range press the search button.
The search results will display all Negotiations that have the currently logged in user listed as Negotiator, with a Follow-Up in the date range listed. It is now possible to open each of these Negotiations and check the details of the listed Follow-Up.
If you want to search for Follow-Ups for a different Negotiator you can change the Negotiator search field. If you want to search for Followups for an entire team you can enter multiple Negotiators by listing a | between each Negotiator.
Example: Geoff*McGregor|*chew* will bring back all Negotiations assigned to Geoff McGregor and Inez Chew in the Kuali Demo environments.
