Overview
Kuali Research Conflict of Interest has added filter options in the Review Disclosures menu to help users search and find records, and export basic reports from the application. This functionality will allow COI Admins to search by a number of criteria and also save their filters to use in future lookups. Below gives a better overview of how filters work and the lookup
Building Filters
As a COI Admin in Review Disclosures there is the icon which will expand the filter panel:
In the Filter Rules you can add as many criteria as you wish via +Add Rule. These Filter Rules can be added on a number of disclosure fields with qualifiers to narrow down disclosures. You can also customize the table columns that will appear via the Table Column Visibility panel.
If you display the Actions column you can review an audit history of all actions that have been taken on each disclosure.
The following fields are available to build filters, or to display as columns.
| Field Name | Description |
| Reporter | This displays the full name of the disclosure. This column is the link that opens the disclosure. |
| User Active | The user's active status from their Kuali user record. More information in the COI - Disclosure Archiving article. |
| Disclosure Active | The active status of the disclosure that can be manually set by COI Admins. More information in the COI - Disclosure Archiving article. |
| Submitted Date | The date the disclosure was initially submitted for review. |
| Disclosure Status | The current status of the disclosure. To see more details on the COI statuses please read the COI - Disclosure Statuses and Research Administration Display article. |
| Disposition | The disposition assigned to the overall disclosure by the COI Administrator. The system defaults this to the highest disposition assigned to a project, but the COI Administrator may override this value on approval. |
| Last Action | The last action taken on the disclosure |
| Last Action Date | The date the last action was taken on the disclosure. |
| Actions | The actions history log described above. |
| Edit Requested By | The user who requested the current active send back request. |
| Edit Requested On | The date the currently active send back request was sent. |
| Reporter Email | The reporter's email as a mailto link. |
| Assigned Reviewers | The currently state of all current reviewer assignments. The COI Administrator can assign additional reviewers in the filters screen. |
| Financial Entities | The number of financial entities on the disclosure |
| Projects | The number of required projects on the disclosure |
| Dispositioned Projects | The number of dispositioned projects on the disclosure. A filter that includes this will allow the COI Administrator to review the scope of undispositioned projects currently in the office via the filters screen. |
| Unit | The reporter's home unit. |
Once you've setup your filter you can export it to manipulate in a spreadsheet program using the Download CSV button.
Saving Filters
Once desired criteria is selected you can save your filter for future use by naming it and clicking 'save':
This filter will then be available in the Saved Filters dropdown so you can select at any time or it can be removed via the icon if you no longer want to use. Or if you wish to edit the selected filter you can expand and modify it using the
button.
