Understanding Proposal Hierarchy
Proposal creation and management is an important part of any research administrator's work. In some cases, a proposal may have portions, such as cores or tasks, where the responsibility is managed by a department other than the lead. Other times, the purpose of the proposal may change from instruction to research over the course of funding. There are many situations where rates or responsibility do not follow the norm. In these cases, it is often helpful to use the Proposal Hierarchy feature. Several proposals can be created and then ‘rolled up’ into one proposal submission .
In this recorded we will be covering the Kuali Research Proposal Hierarchy functionality, demonstrating use cases, and several key elements including:
- Creating parent/child proposals
- Proposal linking and syncing
- Managing changes to a proposal hierarchy
