Summary
The Enable_NIH_Service parameter allows you to enable the NIH Validation Service for S2S Proposals and the image service to allow the 'NIH e-Application' button in the S2S Forms panel. This service is connected to NIH eRA Commons and will run the eCommons validations against NIH S2S proposals so you can catch relevant errors/warnings prior to submission. The image service for the 'NIH e-Application' button option will use the eCommons generator to create the application as it will be compiled in eCommons.
Be aware that configuration is required to set up the NIH Validation Service; more info on this setup can be found in the Configuring Kuali Research with NIH eCommons Validation Service article. Also, we recommend setting the Enable_NIH_Validation_Service_Caching to Y when using the NIH Validation Service.
