Summary
The SUBCONTRACTOR_LIMIT Parameter allows institutions to define the amount of a subaward that is subject to their F&A rate on a proposal budget. This is in preparation of the federal government increasing the amount subject to F&A on subawards from $25k to $50k on the next F&A rate agreement negotiation. This parameter will allow an institution change the subaward calculation threshold when the institution renegotiates their F&A rate agreement to conform to the updated Universal Guidance.
Default value in parameter is current 25000 threshold so no change of calculation or behavior will occur in budget until that parameter value is updated with the new value after your rate agreement is renegotiated.
Valid Parameter Value(s)
The SUBCONTRACTOR_LIMIT Parameter Value accepts a single value:
| Parameter Value | Description |
| <enter numeric value> |
When modifying this parameter, institutions should input the numeric value for the subcontract threshold to charge F&A costs on in the proposal budget. The default value is 25000 so it will charge the F&A on the first $25k of each subcontract when calculating the F&A in the budget. |
