Summary
The Award_Search_Permissions_Filter Parameter determines whether permissions will be checked when returning results in the Award lookup. If the parameter value is 'true' then all search results will first be filtered out by whether the user has permission to the document. Since this additional level of permission checks takes time it can affect the performance of the lookup. Both true/false values will maintain restricted access to the document itself if you attempt to take action on the proposal (i.e. open, edit, etc.).
Note: A true value may require user to input more search criteria to be able to find results and could impact award lookup performance due to the permission checking process. We recommend setting to false to improve lookup efficiency.
Valid Parameter Value(s)
The Award_Search_Permissions_Filter Parameter Value accepts a single value:
Parameter Value | Description |
true |
Search results will first be filtered out by whether the user has permission to the document. Both true/false values will maintain restricted access to the document itself if the user attempts to take action on the proposal (i.e. open, edit, etc.). Parameter Default value is true. |
false |
Search results will not be filtered by user permission and will return all results. However, both true/false values will maintain restricted access to the document itself if you attempt to take action on the proposal (i.e. open, edit, etc.). W recommend using false to improve proposal search performance. |
