Summary

Pessimistic locks are created when a user creates or enters a document in edit mode to prevent other users to enter and make edits. The default value is 1440 minutes (24 hours). Locks will drop off after expiration, can be manually removed via the pessimistic locks screen if you have the appropriate permission, or if you the user exits the document via the close button.
