Parameters - Enable_Lock_On_Document_Version

Summary

The Enable_Lock_On_Document_Version parameter determines whether additional locks around the IP, Subaward, and Award are enabled to help prevent duplicate versions from being created by two users that click 'edit' in the same timeframe. Be aware there could still be issues if users click the edit button at the exact same second. Also, these locks will drop off when the document is closed or it expires; which is controlled by existing parameter.

Valid Parameter Value(s)

The Enable_Lock_On_Document_Version Parameter Value accepts a single value:

Parameter Value	Description
Y	The locks will be enabled to help avoid duplicate versions from being created in IP, Subaward, and Award.  These additional locks will display in the Pessimistic Lock screen along with existing locks on documents.  This is the default parameter value.
N	The locks will not be enabled so more chance of creating duplicate versions in a document if users click edit in the same timeframe.
