Summary

The budgetPersonDefaultCalculationBase Parameter allows institutions to define what the default Base Salary should be for a new person added to the Budget → Project Personnel section if the person being added does not have any active Appointments with Base Salary data maintained in their Person Extended Attributes.

<Enter Base Salary value, e.g. 0>	The Base Salary value entered, will be the default Base Salary for new persons added to Budget → Project Personnel section.  Note: The Person's Base Salary data stored in their active Appointments maintained in their Person Extended Attributes will override the default value indicated in this Parameter.

Example

If the budgetPersonDefaultCalculationBase Parameter is set to 0 and the person does not have any active Appointments with Base Salary data stored in their Person Extended Attributes, then in Budget → Project Personnel section, the person being added will have his/her Base Salary default to 0.00:

If the Person being added to Budget → Project Personnel section has active Appointments with Base Salary data stored in their Person Extended Attributes, then the Person's Base Salary will be populated based on the data in their Person Extended Attributes and not based on the value indicated in the budgetPersonDefaultCalculationBase Parameter.
